Qikship- a gladdening mutuality of idea and inventive illustration
Qikship is a beautiful thought. It is a gladdening mutuality of idea and inventive illustration. On the supposed subject of the idea behind ‘Qikship’, Vikrant replied, “Idea struck my mind when I was living far from home and I regularly needed to send gifts, couriers to my family in Delhi. One day, I realized that this process can be made super easy through an app and I started working on that idea. Qikship is short form of “Quick Ship”, that is you can Quick ship anything from anywhere.”
Qikship’s targeted audiences are individuals (B2C) and businesses (B2B). To reach out to its potential clients, this venture is presently banking on social media platforms. To target businesses, Qikship is relying extensively on dedicated sales teams.
Some stats about Qikship
When we insisted Vikrant to share some stats, he politely replied, “We started our operation in September 2015 in Noida. We are doing 300-400 shipments per day with an average ticket size of 200/-. Major part of its business comes from online sellers and SMEs. Qikship has a team of 50 people that includes 30 pickup agents. We plan to hire 150 pickup agent in next two-three months to establish our operation centers in Delhi and Gurgaon initially and reach per day transaction of 3000- 3500.”
Vision and Mission
Vikrant has a Master’s degree from IIT Delhi and an MBA from HEC Paris. And yes, he is an ex-IES as well. Gaurav worked as the head of Zomato Sales India for a while. He also happens to be the founder of westapple.com. Surely, they are men on a mission with some strong vision and enchanting erudition. As our curiosity was just getting the better of us, we asked them to quote their vision and mission to which they replied, “Our vision is to disrupt the logistics industry with technology and make sending stuff a fun task. Our mission is to be the leader in that space.” Vikrant added, “I feel that when you enjoy the work then you don’t count the hours. Still, to give a number, it is around 15 hours a day. I spend some time for physical exercise, reading and music as my hobbies.”
