Swati Bhargava is from Ambala. Right from her childhood, she had a penchant for Mathematics. Her stature is a trope for being an epitome of expertise in mathematics where her noteworthy achievements include scholarships from the government of Singapore, the prestigious London School of Economics and many more. As a child, her dream was to become an Indian Foreign Services officer or an Indian Administrative Service Officer. She however declined an offer from Oxford University and her love for London made her pursue Honors in Mathematics and Economics from London School of Economics.
She completed every milestone of summer internship at Goldman Sachs and subsequently, she was offered a full-time job. After working closely with clients and senior management, she left Goldman Sachs in 2010.While she was heading the 3000-member business society at London School of Economics, she married Rohan Bhargava and eventually embarked upon her Cashback business- Pouring Pounds. Thanks to her eye-for-detail, it was only a matter of time before she realized that Cashback segment in India was untapped. Capitalizing on this fact, she expanded her Cashback business to India and launched Cashkaro. Rohan Bhargava, her husband is another co-founder of this venture. Thanks to her tremendous caliber, Swati Bhragava was able to close a round of US$750K for her Cashkaro venture in just 48 hours.
Cashkaro drives sales to various ecommerce giants such as Amazon.in, Jabong, Snapdeal, Myntra etc for which it gets commission. A fat slice of the commission is then shared as ‘cashback’ to its customers. Cashkaro is already in good books of as many as 500 brands. Swati Bhargava’s discipline and diligence are bearing sweet fruits as she plans to tap Southeast Asia and other international markets.
