Our overarching goal is to start ‘The Right Cost Movement’ in Indian healthcare.
What inspired the creation of “Credihealth.com”?
The ‘idea’ of Credihealth crystalised in Ravi Virmani’s mind in 2013. As a former COO of Max Healthcare, he would get inundated with frantic calls from friends and relatives seeking ‘insider’ information about the best hospital or best specialist or a hospital that wouldn’t rip them off etc.
The forward-thinking entrepreneur that Ravi inherently is, he astutely identified a real need in the healthcare industry for widely available credible, reliable, and transparent healthcare information.
What is your target audience and why?
Our target audience is not specified to one segment, our services cater to people from all walks of life.
What is unique about your company ?
Credihealth focuses solely on its customers – domestic or international patients.A typical user browses through Credihealth’s list of credible doctors nationally at our website. She gets access to detailed information about various doctors, hospitals or other healthcare providers that she might be interested in. This information contains doctor’s bio, qualifications, professional recognition, special achievements, hospital specialities, doctors working there etc.
On selecting a suitable medical partner (be it a doctor, hospital, diagnostic center or any other) for their unique circumstance, the patient can initiate an appointment from our website itself. After assessing the request, a Credihealth team member rings that patient to either confirm their appointment or move it to another suitable time.
And, in almost every case, our patients save between 5 to 10% on the doctor’s consultation fees by booking through Credihealth when compared with approaching the doctor directly themselves!
What problem does your company solve ?
First of its kind in India, the portal offers many exciting features to patients- exclusive credi discounts and efficient customer services being a few of them. Credihealth helps shorten the distance between the patient and his doctor.
Who are the founders and key team members ?
Credihealth’s founding team comprises successful business leaders and career professionals with proven runs on the board, who began their individual journeys at India’s premier educational institutions.
A successful business leader, Ravi had co-founded Noble House in his New Delhi garage which was acquired by Hewitt with Ravi at the helm of Hewitt Associates India as its co- founding Managing Director. After successfully stints as MD at Hewitt South Asia and CEO Aventus Consulting (both in Singapore), he returned to India as COO of Max Healthcare immediately before founding Credihealth. Ravi is an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur.
A successful Chartered Accountant, investment banker, and e-venture co-founder, Gaurav has over 10 years of experience in Transaction Advisory, Resource Mobilisation and Valuation. He has advised a number of M&A and Private Equity transactions. After his tenure with Delloitte in 2010, Gaurav donned his entrepreneurial hat and co-founded 2 successful e-gaming ventures.
Saurabh has been running India’s first truly holistic brand consulting and design firm, Brands of Desire. He consults start-ups, mid-size and large size companies including diversified business groups on their brand strategy. Prior to Brands of Desire, Saurabh worked for Citigroup. Saurabh is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta.
Hausela Capital Partners
Hausela is the investment office of Piush Kumar with the objective of funding startups in the digital technology space. A serial entrepreneur, Piush started his career with Brooke Bond India Ltd., a Unilever Company and then migrated to USA in 1983. He has funded, built and grown multiple businesses in USA, Canada, Hong Kong, China, and India over the last 30 years.

What risk are you facing?
Being a first of its kind, there is no exact risk. In fact, experimenting with new ideas and molding according to the needs of our patients is what we believe in.
What is your greatest competitive advantage?
Our founders have had rich experience, mostly in the healthcare industry, which we recognize as an advantage.
What has been your most effective marketing technique?
PCOD (Poly-cystic Ovarian Disease) is one of the most common endocrine disorders among females. During our PCOD Awareness Drive, we were humbled by the trust a number of women showed in us when they confided their intimate details with our female doctors – whose faces they never saw at the other end of the telephone line.
In another incident, a lady caller from Punjab, was thrilled by the professional, warm and highly personal response she got from our multilingual lady-doctor who spoke with her in her dialect.
This and numerous similar instances have provided us with an incredibly positive response that has led to much admiration.
In closing, this smart & warm attitude symbolizes Credihealth’s values as we nurture our mission and continue to serve and grow.

What is your advice to young entrepreneurs starting today?
Determination and focus are key to fuel an idea.
Where do you see yourself and your venture 5 years from now?
Credihealth is emerging as an unbiased marketing and sales platform for our partner hospitals and health care providers.
In March, Credihealth was dubbed as ’The Google of Healthcare’ by The Economic Times and included in the top 20 e-retailers of the country by The Times Group. In September, Credihealth won the Frost & Sullivan 2014 Customer Value Leadership Award for Online Healthcare Information Service Provider! And recently, siliconindia has nominated Credihealth for Start up of the Year- 2014: Healthcare Solutions for its annual review on “Industry Performers of the Year 2014” in its October issue. That’s not all, Credihealth is also the Event partner at the VCCircle Healthcare Investment Summit 2014.
We plan to expand our services to Mumbai by mid-October, and cities like Singapore and Bangalore by the end of this year and aim to increase this number to about 20 other major cities in India by the end of 2015.
