Tell us a little bit about “ingeniousaces.com”.
Ingenious Aces is an early stage startup with its focus on writing. We write! From website content to poems, we can pen down whatever it is that you need.
What inspired the creation of “ingeniousaces.com”?
The inspiration came from my brother, Abhishek Ponia, and the idea came from my friend, Varun Singh. I was quite happy writing for various clients from the comforts of home when my friend told me I had leadership qualities that I should nurture. When I consulted my brother (who is also my guide, my inspiration, and my best friend), he showed complete faith in me and said that he was indeed thinking along the same lines. The positivity that I saw radiating for me from my loved ones motivated me to move forward with this and convert simple freelancing to entrepreneurship.
What is your target audience and why?
We mainly target startups. We understand the importance of content and the role it plays in the success of companies over the Internet. We provide affordable rates keeping in mind that most startups are bootstrapped and simply can’t afford high rates. We aim at providing value at rates that don’t hurt pockets.
What is unique about your company?
Our concept is unique. Our whole idea of helping people solve the one huge problem – or hindrance, if I might say – they face in today’s online world is a clear winner. Original, top-notch content is vital today and we really can’t expect every businessman to be a writer. That’s where we come in.
What problem does your company solve?
Our company solves the problem of content! Understanding the business and the niche, conducting thorough research, and coming up with highly informative and relevant content is the need of the hour. Google has made it very clear – If you want a presence online, your content has to be great! New updates from Google every now and then are hitting websites badly because Google is focusing more and more on what type of content you put up and how relevant it is. Some people don’t have the time to furnish content while others don’t have the skill. Writing is our passion and we have the skill!
Who are the founders and key team members?
I, Kritika Ponia, am the founder and CEO of the company. My brother, Abhishek Ponia, is the most important team member. He is the mentor.
What relevant domain experience do they have?
Entrepreneurship requires skill as well as thorough knowledge of business. While I have the required skill(s), Abhishek has the required knowledge and experience to mentor me and my business, power through in these competitive times. Together we form a perfect amalgamation of technique, leadership, talent, and experience.
What risk are you facing?
Right now, the risk is of not finding good writers at affordable stipend. We target startups, as aforementioned, and startups are usually bootstrapped. They cannot afford paying huge amounts of money for one task. That is why our prices are low and we can’t afford to pay a lot. In the midst of this, we are not able to find good writers and hiring is becoming quite a problem. Hopefully, with some more commitment we will be able to solve that.
What is your greatest competitive advantage?
The demand for good content and creative writers is huge. We are good and creative. That’s our greatest advantage!
What has been your most effective marketing technique?
Two words: Social Media.
What outsiders have been most important to your business (eg. Mentors, bankers etc.)
My brother, Abhishek Ponia. He isn’t an outsider but he is the mentor.
What is your advice to young entrepreneurs starting today?
Start only if you are passionate about it. Don’t start for money because entrepreneurship requires a lot of dedication, determination, and passion. There is a lot of hard work involved before the money can come in.
How has been your journey so far as an entrepreneur?
It has been fruitful. It has been satisfying and even though I have to put in a lot of time, patience, and effort, at the end of the day it is all worth it.
Where do you see yourself and your venture 5 years from now?
5 years from now I see Ingenious Aces as a humble platform that offers free services to people from rural areas who can’t afford to learn English and its nuances. At the same time I plan on targeting youth to help them polish their soft skills including presentation skills so as to help them make a better impression while seeking jobs. Alongside, we shall continue offering affordable and quality content and creative writing services to startups. In short, whether someone wants to write a poem or whether someone just wants to learn how to communicate over the phone or whether someone wants help with website content, Ingenious Aces will be there for them.
